The guest, an adult, was hurt after their tube overturned on the ride when another guest had jumped out of their tube on the slide around 3:30 pm, Six Flags Great Adventure park spokeswoman Kristin Fitzgerald confirmed to Townsquare Media News.

"Our initial investigation indicates that the guest’s tube overturned as a result of another guest jumping out of the tube, which is a violation of the park’s safety policies," Fitzgerald said. "An adult guest was transported to a nearby hospital after complaining of back and neck pain following a ride on one of the tube slides. The safety of our guests and team members is our top priority."

This incident is just the latest in a series of accidents at the park including with guests illegally heading into the park as was the case in the most recent incident.

That guest injured her leg after climbing over a fence and onto the roof of a building, which is marked restricted in the area between Kingda Ka and Zumanjaro in the park.

In July, The Joker and El Toro rollercoasters were temporarily shutdown after separate incidents occurred with one reported injury on Joker and a car getting stuck on El Toro.

The Asbury Park Press was first to report the Hurricane Harbor accident.

To find out, Stacker consulted data from WalletHub, released June 17, 2020, that compares U.S. beach towns. Ratings are based on six categories: affordability, weather, safety, economy, education and health, and quality of life. The cities ranged in population from 10,000 to 150,000, but they had to have at least one local beach listed on TripAdvisor. Read the full methodology here. From those rankings, we selected the top 50. Readers who live in California and Florida will be unsurprised to learn that many of towns featured here are in one of those two states.
