Each January, the Toms River Parks and Recreation Department conducts a tree recycling program. The trees are made into wood chips rather than being added to the landfill.

The program will run from January 16th through February 2nd. After February 2nd, all trees are to be dropped off at the Toms River Township Recycling Convenience Center on Church Road.
