So the Sunday before the Super Bowl is often one in which especially sports fans are looking for something to do.  You could go shopping, maybe take in a movie or finally get to that book you’ve had for a while.  Or you can meet six professional athletes, get pictures and autographs and help out a great cause.  “A Need We Feed” has partnered with Farro’s Tees and Spicy Cantina to host a Pro Athlete Meet and Greet on Sunday, February 6 at the popular Mexican restaurant on the boardwalk in Seaside Heights.

On hand from noon to 4pm that day will be former UFC Champion Frankie Edgar, baseball standout Todd Frazier, decorated soccer champion Christie Rampone and three former football stars from the 80’s…ex-Jet Mark Gastineau, 17-year veteran wide receiver Irving Fryar and Giants Super Bowl champ Stephen Baker, “The Touchdown Maker.”  Not only can you meet them but attendees will have the chance to see and feel the Super Bowl trophy, Super Bowl ring, 3 Olympic gold and 2 silver medals.

The event starts at noon with a question and answer session which will be followed by photos and autographs.  Admission for adults is $40 and with each paid admission one child 12 and under will get in for free.  Each paid admission gets you one photo and one signed memorabilia item from each of the six athletes.  You can purchased additional ones for $10 each.  There will also be door prizes and great giveaway items.

While those in attendance will clearly be focused on meeting in some cases their idols what is just as important is knowing that ALL proceeds will be donated to “A Need We Feed” a 501c3 organization that has received numerous accolades for addressing food insecurity in our community with help from local restaurants.

Advance tickets can be purchased through Venmo @TheBakerLeague.
