MANCHESTER TOWNSHIP - Pine Lake Park residents might suddenly find no electricity in their homes at times today, according to township police, who add that it's short-term, and temporary.

In a cryptic Nixel alert, police said only that outages might be up to four hours in duration, and that they stem from construction.

According to Manchester PD Lieutenant Vincent Manco, the work involves replacement and maintenance of a cross beam on a high-voltage tower, in the vicinity of Route 37 and Northampton Boulevard

In order to do that safely, the workers will have to cut the power. Police anticipate that the project should take about an hour and a half to complete.

In any event, better today, when temperatures are in the low 70s, than some time in February.
