If you weren't sure if Jersey Shore residents have strong opinions, just ask them which town in Monmouth & Ocean Counties has the worst traffic.

We asked that very question, and you gave us your opinions in very clear terms. Not only is there no shortage of opinions, there is also no shortage of towns that have way too much traffic for our taste.

We mentioned that we asked this very same question about 4 years ago, and the clear winner of the worst traffic town was Brick, and much to their relief, based on the results of our recent poll, they no longer hold that dubious distinction.

So, which town now hold the title of Monmouth or Ocean town with the worst traffic. it turns out that it's overwhelmingly Lakewood, and frankly, according to your votes, it's not even close.

Without further ado, here are the top 3 vote getters in our poll.

Which Monmouth or Ocean County town has the worst traffic?

Lakewood...68%

Brick...18%

Toms River...11%

The remaining 3% of the votes were split between Middletown, Red Bank, Wall and Freehold. This survey is not good news for travelers, especially for Ocean County drivers. Ocean County, of course, swept the top 3 spots on the list.

Thanks for all the votes, and here's to hoping that your day is filled with green lights, open road and no construction. But what are the odds of that, right?
