Point Pleasant Boro’s Malleck Sidelined By Injury
If you watched any of this past Saturday’s Alabama-Virginia Tech football game you might have been wondering why you did not see #88 in a Hokies uniform.

That number belongs to junior tight end Ryan Malleck, a 2011 graduate of Point Pleasant Borough High School who was expected to be a major contributor at Va Tech this fall.
Unfortunately Malleck suffered a labral tear in his left shoulder in practice during late August and will miss the entire season. He will use this year as a redshirt season and will still have two more seasons to play for the Hokies.
The 6’4, 245 pound Malleck played in all 13 games last season, starting 7 and caught 17 passes for 174 yards. While at Point Boro the Management major was also a standout basketball player for the Panthers.
