Which is worse, the Garden State Parkway or the New Jersey Turnpike? It's the question with no wrong or right answer.

I drove Diane to the Secaucus Junction train station this weekend where she was meeting some family members to head off to a day in the city, and it gave me the opportunity to drive both of our major highways.

Now, I have to admit, living at the Shore, I am on the Parkway much more often than the Turnpike, so I may be partial to the GSP as the better road, but after a couple of hours on both, I'm not so sure.

I will tell you this. If I include road conditions, driving ability and courteousness on the roads, I'd have to say I had a better time on the Turnpike. Don't get me wrong, I didn't say a good time, I said a better time.

I had a couple of "Jersey' moments on the Turnpike, but the number paled in comparison to what I saw on the Parkway. The Parkway easily had the ruder and less capable drivers, in my opinion.

Now, this trip was on a weekend, and not during rush hour, so I'd imagine my opinion might change if it was. But it got me thinking. If you consider road conditions, courtesy and driving ability, which road would you rather drive on?
