This is what to know BEFORE you go to the Belmar St. Patty’s Day parade!  We had the parade chairman Chip Cavanaugh join us on the Jersey Shore Morning Show and he gave us parking hacks, info, and what to look forward to on Sunday!  Here is what you need to know before you go!

We’ve waited two years to have this local tradition back and now the 49th annual Belmar Lake Como St. Patrick's Day Parade is back! The fun starts at 12:30 p.m. right on Main Street in Lake Como and it makes its way through Belmar.

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO:

*There will be over 200 thousand people at the event so make sure you have a good comfort level with that kind of crowd. Bring a mask if you feel better about it.

*Main Street will be closed to all traffic starting 8 a.m. on Sunday, March 6th so don’t try to run errands in that area after that time.

*If you need a detour, use 5th Ave or Ocean Ave in Spring Lake.

*If you need to travel east of Main Street around North Blvd you’ll need to show proof of residency to be there so don’t leave without ID.

*Amanda Cregan of Wall and Neptune’s own Craig Coyle are the parade’s grand marshals

*If you want to enjoy the parade but the crowd is still too much for you, you can tune into the live feed and watch it remotely here.

Here is our conversation with Parade Chairman, Chip Cavanaugh.  He’ll give you even more details of everything you need to know before you go!  Lou and I will be marching in the parade with the rest of the 94.3 The Point family so make sure to say hi!  Here is your Parade Chairman, Chip Cavanaugh with all the deats...
