Oyster Creek Reactors Get Review

Nuclear regulators plan to review the reactors used at the Oyster Creek power plant in Lacey.

A safety panel from the NRC accepted the request by three environmental groups to see if approvals for the General Electric Mark 1 reactors should be revoked.

The reactor is the same type in operation at the Fukushima Diachi plant in japan which suffered a meltdown during last year’s earthquake and tsunami.
