It's one of my favorite things to do in the summer at the Jersey Shore, "Movies on the Beach" are so much fun. It's been an incredible summer, a little cooler on the beach, just relaxing watching a movie on the beach.

They're always fun for the whole family. Kids of any age love these movies on the beach.

I remember the first time I watched a movie on the beach, it was Jaws. My daughter was little, maybe 6 or 7. I swear even though it was dark when the movie was on, we were always turning our heads around at the ocean wondering if Jaws was swimming around. (She had lots of friends with her, so she really wasn't watching Jaws, thank goodness. She would've been incredibly scared.)

Hopefully this summer you were able to catch one of these incredible movies on the beach in Pt. Pleasant. It's always fun. The movies were every Tuesday night running the entire summer, with weather permitting.

These summertime movies are always free and fun for the family. You have one more chance to catch a "Movie on the Beach" before all the fun ends.

From "Encanto", "Frozen", "Cars", "Trolls", and so many more for the summer of 2022, there's one more. Probably one of my favorite movies of all time as we get ready for a "BIG" number 2 movie finally coming out this fall.

"Hocus Pocus" is the last movie of the season for "Movies on the Beach" in Pt. Pleasant Beach. It's Tuesday, August 30th, 2022, Jenkinson's Boardwalk.

LOOK: See America's 50 Best Beach Towns

Every beach town has its share of pluses and minuses, which got us thinking about what makes a beach town the best one to live in. To find out, Stacker consulted data from WalletHub, released June 17, 2020, that compares U.S. beach towns. Ratings are based on six categories: affordability, weather, safety, economy, education and health, and quality of life. The cities ranged in population from 10,000 to 150,000, but they had to have at least one local beach listed on TripAdvisor. Read the full methodology here. From those rankings, we selected the top 50. Readers who live in California and Florida will be unsurprised to learn that many of towns featured here are in one of those two states.
