There are a lot of historic sites around New Jersey that are worth taking a day trip to see.

There's Historic Smithville, The Central Railroad of New Jersey, Absecon Lighthouse, and Lucy the Elephant just to name a few!

What's even more fun though, is when you can visit a historic spot in New Jersey and also get a tasty burger, and a root beer float!

I'm sure you've been to a Stewarts Root Beer at some point in your life.

The one in Seaside Heights is right down the road from my apartment, so in the summer we'll grab a float and watch the sunset.

But have you been to the oldest, and longest operating Stewarts Root Beer in the Country?

There's something to be said about being the oldest operating anything in the state, you know what they say; if it ain't broke, don't fix it!

The experts at Only In Your State went on the search for the state's longest-running Stewarts, and they were not disappointed!

The location they found has been around for over 70 years, and to this day continues to draw in large crowds during the summer months for some classic drive-in grub!

This place has been serving up floats, classic burgers, and an array of delicious, greasy, all-American roadside grub since 1947!

If you want to plan your visit, make sure to visit this location's Facebook page as they usually close up shop in the winter.
