Last summer, a majority of Six Flags Great Adventure's employees were making $11.00 an hour. That is now being bumped up to a whopping $15.00 an hour!

That is an increase of $4.00 per hour which is a 36% increase in pay. THAT is a chunk of change to be happy about.

Not to mention, the minimum wage was raised to $12.00 per hour as of January of 2021. The minimum wage is on track to be $15.00 per hour by 2023 so Six Flags is ahead of the game BIG TIME!

The reason for this increase? The park wants to recruit high-quality employees who can get the job done! It makes sense.....if you want quality, you have to pay for it.

“We want to recruit team members who will maintain our high standards of safety and guest service, and it’s crucial that we offer competitive wages to attract and retain these top employees,” said park president John Winkler.

According to, the employees who will be benefiting from this increase in pay include, "food and beverage operations, custodial services, security, shuttle drivers and lifeguards."

Do one of the positions listed above sound perfect for you?

Then attend Six Flags Great Adventure's virtual hiring program which is set to take place this Saturday, February 27th at 11:00 AM.
