A New Jersey man who was trying to make a few bucks, by stealing and then selling batteries for golf carts, has now been brought to jail.

Police in Monroe Township, Gloucester County, said Vincent J. Framo is the man allegedly responsible for entering through a fenced-in area of Mike's Golf Carts on N. Black Horse Pike early in the morning on February 4 and then taking off with 25 batteries he swiped from several golf carts.

Framo returned to the scene of the crime on Wednesday evening, around 5:53 pm, sitting in a vehicle in front of the store, and eventually took off somewhere in the area.

Police spotted the vehicle and made a stop near the business and identified Framo as the driver.

There wasn't enough evidence or proof at that point to arrest him.

As the investigation was ongoing though, Detectives were able to track down the stolen batteries to a scrap yard in Camden County and return them to the store.

Framo was then found and arrested in Gloucester Township, and later confessed to the theft, in addition to an earlier incident in Gloucester Township, while speaking with Monroe Detectives.

As a result, a warrant was issued against Framo charging him with Theft, Criminal Mischief, and Trespassing.

Following the arrest, and processing, Framo was brought to the Salem County Jail.
