We love a good love story here in New Jersey and it turns out we’re pretty good at them as well, at least according to data on our divorce rate here in the Garden State.

You would think with all of the New Jersey stresses we have to deal with, our relationships will eventually suffer and ultimately pay the price. But that is not what the statistics say.

Most experts say the top topic couples fight about is money, and I’m not sure there is a state in the nation that has to deal with more or bigger money issues than we do here in New Jersey, and apparently, that doesn’t stop our relationships from remaining strong.

We also have to deal with other stresses like traffic and other New Jersey delicacies, too. So, how are our relationships staying so strong? It must be Garden State magic.

Whatever keeps us together, it turns out that New Jersey has one of the lowest divorce rates in the entire nation.

So, just how good are we at this whole marriage thing? It turns out we’re better than just about every state in the nation.

Congratulations New Jersey, you have the third lowest divorce rate in the entire nation. Only Hawaii and Massachusetts have a better marriage success rate, according to Newser.

New Jersey’s divorce rate sits at 12.7%, which is less than half of a percentage point away from the top of the list.

There is another theory that we just have to float out there. Could it be that no one is getting divorced in New Jersey because, like everything else in the state, it’s just too expensive?
