New Jersey Chamber of Commerce Made Big COVID Announcement
Yesterday the NJ Chamber of Commerce announced it is mandating its employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, and they are requiring attendees of all in-person events to provide proof of vaccination or proof of a negative COVID-19 test before being allowed to participate. The Chamber is urging all employers to do the same.

Of course many people are not happy with what they are calling a "forced medical procedure". This is a decision that is being made for New Jersey teachers/school staff and health professionals as well.
Tom Bracken, president and CEO of the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce stated...
This will be a standard policy for employees and across all N.J. Chamber events, and it should give even more confidence to our employees, members and guests about how seriously the Chamber is taking safety. Employers across New Jersey should continue to encourage their employees to get vaccinated, especially in light of the FDA’s full approval of the Pfizer vaccine.
The news about rising concerns over the delta variant of COVID-19 made decision-makers act this and last week about creating policy change in New Jersey. With the cold months coming and delta getting a stronghold this will be the norm and not the exception.
New Jersey Chamber employees have to show proof that they've been vaccinated against COVID-19 to continue. In addition, people attending NJ Chamber events will have to show proof of being vaccinated or provide proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within 72 hours of an event’s start time. They can also show a negative COVID-19 antigen test taken within 6 hours of the start time.
I have to think that constant testing will get old fast (and expensive) so this will convince most to get the vaccine. I can't imagine people taking the nasal swab test weekly just to function in the world. Masks are back too, guests at events will be required to wear them except when eating and drinking.
The Chamber said enforcement of its employee vaccine mandates will begin right away.
