Maybe you prefer to stay in and hand out candy or have a horror movie marathon.

Neither of those is a bad way to spend Halloween!

This is my first Halloween in New Jersey and I am so excited because Jersey is a great Halloween state.

So, it's really no surprise that one city in New Jersey was ranked in the top ten best towns for Halloween.

The experts at Wallethub put together the definitive list of the best towns and cities in the country for Halloween and included a lot of factors.

They considered the city's Trick-or-treat friendliness, the price of Halloween candy, the average cost of a Halloween party ticket, and a few other categories.

The city in New Jersey that made the top ten is known for celebrating the spookiest day of the year for a full two or three weeks leading up to Halloween, according to NJ.com.

NJ.com also reported that the New Jersey City which made the top ten best Halloween cities in the country is chock full of Halloween bar crawls and masquerade parties.

What New Jersey City Is One Of The Best Halloween Cities In The Country?

You'll have to make the trip up to Hudson County, but it'll be worth the drive.

Wallethub says this town ranked second for trick-or-treater friendliness, fifty-ninth in Halloween fun, and ninety-second in weather.

Congrats to Jersey City New Jersey for ranking as the seventh best city in the entire country to celebrate Halloween in.

Jersey City isn't the only place in New Jersey that made the list by the way.

I'm a little surprised that this was a list that Cape May didn't make it on, seeing how it's one of the most haunted towns in the state.

But congrats Newark New Jersey was ranked as the 37th best place in the country to celebrate Halloween.
