No one has ever signed a bigger baseball contract in the history of the game than New Jersey native Mike Trout just signed.

Just weeks after Bryce Harper signed a record breaking mega-deal with the Philadelphia Phillies, Mike Trout has broken that short lived record contract with one of his own that features money that will make your jaw drop.

Trout, born in Vineland, has played his entire career with the Angels, and now it looks like he will finish his career there as well with a ten year contract that will be added to the two years that is currently on his deal.

So what kind of money are we talking about here, and for how long? Trout has a deal now that will keep him an Angel for the next 12 years, and he'll make about $430 million over the life of the deal.

In case you don't feel like doing the math on that, take a look at these numbers. Based just on regular season games (and the contract being evenly spread over the 12 years, here's how much money New Jersey's Mike Trout will make...

Per year...just under $36 million

Per game...just over $221,000

Per inning...just over $24,000

Per at-bat...just over $55,000 (assuming 4 at bats per game)

Trout is generally accepted as the best all around player in baseball now, and many believe the future Hall of Famer is among the best to ever play the game, and is certainly considered a 'generational player'.

The only baseball fans who may be disappointed by the news might be Phillies fans who had hoped Trout's next contract might bring him back close to home, but it wasn't meant to be.

It's great to see this Jersey kid turned superstar making it to the top of his game,  and getting paid to do it!
