As Mother's Day approaches, there is good news for working moms in the Garden State. We are among the best states in America for working moms.

New Jersey has ranked as 2020's 6th best state for working moms according to a report at WalletHub. So what data did they use to determine each state's ranking, and what puts New Jersey near the top?

Here are some of the highlights for the Garden State in the study...

Child Care Rank...New Jersey is 8th best.

Work-Life Balance...We rank 8th here as well.

Parental Leave Policy Score...the Garden State is 5th best in the nation.

 

The study determined the overall rankings using 17 key metrics, including median women’s salary to female unemployment rate to day-care quality.

Here's how our neighboring states did. New York ranks as the15th best states for working moms, and Pennsylvania is 33rd. The best state, according to the report, is Massachusetts and the lowest ranking state is Louisiana.
