New cheesesteak place in Seaside Heights will make your mouth water
It's fresh, it's grilled, it tastes just like it would at home.
The cheesesteaks at Cheesesteak Louie's, which opened up in Seaside Heights two weeks ago is worth a trip to this spring and summer when you crave a good ole cheesesteak.
T.J. Perl of Jackson, the owner of Cheesesteak Louie's, woke up one day and decided to pursue his culinary vision and turn it into something to be shared with the whole community across the northern barrier island and Ocean County.
"I worked in a deli for the past 8-years and was manager there for the past 5-years and I actually make a great product and figured there's a dead end here at this job so I figured why not create my own culture, my own identity so then I decided CheeseSteak Louie's it is," Perl said. "The stars aligned and here we are."
He wants to serve some cheesesteaks but also provide a fun place for people to gather and enjoy each others company.
"What I can offer the town, aside from food, is we offer a lot of laughter and a really good culture around here and that's really what I want to bring to the community," Perl said.
He uses thin sliced rib-eye steak for his sandwiches and adds on cheese and some peppers and onions but makes it so that it tastes like it was made at home.
"I slice all my rib-eye fresh and throw it back on the grill but what's most important is the passion and the consistency behind it. Every sandwich that I make, I make it like I'm making it for my mother and I make sure that every customer enjoys that cheesesteak," Perl said.
So if you're out and about in Seaside Heights, check out CheeseSteak Louie's and judge for yourself.
