Around 11 pm that night 24-year old Monique Moore allegedly stabbed 29-year old Joseph Wilson of Neptune, with a single-incision before he was left outside her apartment lying unconscious, according to the Monmouth County Prosecutors Office.

Wilson was taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center where he passed away around 12:45 am on November 28.

Moore will spend a minimum 30-years without parole and up to a maximum life-sentence for the murder if convicted at a future hearing.

Charges facing Moore are first degree Murder, third degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose which carries a three to five year sentence, third degree Hindering Apprehension and fourth degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon which carries an 18-month sentence.

She is subject to the "No Early Release Act," and must serve 85 percent of any sentence imposed in excess of 30 years prior to becoming eligible for parole, according to the Prosecutors Office.

Despite these charges, every defendant is presumed innocent, unless and until found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, following a trial at which the defendant has all of the trial rights guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution and State law.
