For the 2nd time in as many days in Ocean County an investigation into a shooting is underway.

In Berkeley Township on Sunday morning, around 11:30 am, there was a non-fatal police officer involved shooting.

In Jackson Township on Monday morning , around 2:15 am, there was a shooting incident that took place at a residence.

Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer and Jackson Police Chief Matthew Kunz issue a joint statement on Monday afternoon announcing that the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crime Unit, Jackson Police Department and Ocean County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Investigation Unit, are all working together in the investigation.

There are no other details regarding the shooting incident, who was involved, any injuries, any suspects at this time.

Prosecutor Billhimer and Chief Kunz said that there is "no danger to the public at this time", adding that "more information will be released as it becomes available."

No additional details have been released yet in the Berkeley Township shooting investigation.
