The last known contact with Elibit Mena, 18, was at about 5 PM Sunday, according to Lakewood Police. His car was found in the lot attached to Shenandoah Park on South Clover street.

Investigators learned that Mena and some friends had planned to meet at the park. On Monday afternoon, the search led police to cordon off South Clover, between Cedarbridge and Laurel Avenues, for several hours.

When last seen, Mena was clad in a blue jacket, grey sweatpants and black sneakers.

The search also includes the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office and Sheriff's Department, the New Jersey State Police, and volunteers of Chaverim in Lakewood.

Authorities urge anyone who can help the probe to reach Lakewood Police, 732-363-0200, or the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office, 732-929-2027.
