Manchester Police believe a medical episode may have led to a township woman crashing her 2014 Chevrolet Spark into a parked car around 2:10 am Monday morning.

Police report that Judith M. Oliveri, 67, struck a tree and a road sign before hitting a 2002 Dodge Ram pick-up head on between Central Drive and Manor Court in the township's Pine Acres Manor section.

Oliveri is believed to have been heading west on Central Drive when she didn't make the proper turn she needed to at the intersection of Manor Court.

She was not wearing a seatbelt at the time, police say, while both her front airbags deployed.

Oliveri was pronounced dead when police arrived.

The crash is being investigated by Patrolman Ian Bole of the Manchester Police’s Traffic Safety Unit.

EMTs from Quality Medical Transport and paramedics from MONOC as well as representatives from the Ocean County Medical Examiner’s Office and detectives from the Ocean County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) Unit were all on scene assisting Manchester Police.
