May At the Jersey Shore – Local Summer : The Prequel

We all know what local summer is at the Jersey Shore, So is May the local summer prequel. I think it is in many ways.

What is it we love about local summer. we can enjoy the nice weather days without the crush of the tourists, right? We love the parking spaces, the lack of lines, and we like to enjoy our towns without having to share...even if it's just for a few days.

So, why can't we do the same thing in May? Sure there are days when the weather doesn't cooperate, but the same can be said for September, right. Isn't early to mid May the same as mid to late September for local summer purposes?

So, I'm proposing giving this local summer prequel thing a try. How can it hurt? If it works out, we have not only figured out how to extend summer at the Jersey Shore, but we've actually figured out how to extend 'our' summer!

I don't know who I have to call or email to get this thing started, but I'm going to make some inquiries and follow up on it. You tell all your friends about it and we'll see what happens.

I know this is hard to push on a day with temperatures in the 50's, but focus people...we can do this. Keep your eye on the ball. More summer, and it's all for us! i'll keep you up to date on the progress.
