Mary Poppins is having new moments from NJ to ‘Late Late London’
The timeless classic Mary Poppins is getting fresh attention this month, both in New Jersey and in London. The Broadway musical is running at Paper Mill Playhouse in Millburn through June 25th.
On Tuesday, James Corden enlisted Sir Ben Kingsley to bring Mary Poppins to the streets of London. As in, during red lights for one of the Late Late Show's 'Crosswalk the Musical' segment. You can watch Corden and Kingsley channeling Julie Andrews and Dick Van Dyke, respectively, in the video below.
And, there's also the Disney sequel being filmed, with NJ native Meryl Streep as a cousin of the enchanting nanny. Poppins is being played this time by Emily Blunt. Mary Poppins Returns is slated to hit theaters next winter. There's a batch of photos from the movie set just released by 'Entertainment Weekly'.
