Among Motown's most successful acts of the 1960s is Martha and the Vandellas. They began as The Vells and the Dell-Phis, but didn't find success until the name change. A string of hits followed, including "Dancing in the Street," "Come and Get These Memories," "I'm Ready for Love," "Heat Wave," "Nowhere to Run," "Jimmy Mack," "Quicksand," "My Baby Loves Me," and "Honey Chile." Martha is still "Dancing in the Street" today, as she celebrates her 76th birthday. See a classic, vintage lip-sync performance below.
