Manchester 62-Year-Old Charged in Heroin Bust

A Manchester 62-year-old is charged with heroin possession following a warrant raid this morning.

Joseph Alex, Jr. was apprehended in his Summit Park house by township police, along with members of the Ocean County Regional SWAT Team, MONOC medics, and a K-9 unit from the county Sheriff’s office.

Alex was charged with one count each of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession with intent to distribute, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was placed in the Ocean County Jail in Toms River. A judge set bail at $50,000 with no option to pay 10-percent for release.
