POINT PLEASANT — Borough police released a sketch of a man they say exposed himself to a 15-year-old girl on Tuesday.

It's the third case of lewdness in this borough since February.

The man was walking in the area of Barton and Cedar avenues when he exposed himself to the girl as he was walking past her and continued on his way, police said.

The man is described as being around 30 years old and standing between 5 feet 8 inches and 5 feet 10 inches with a medium muscular build. He has dark hair and was wearing a navy blue hooded sweatshirt with an insignia on the front and black shorts with a blue stripe on the side.

The police said they are "actively investigating" this and two other lewdness cases in the borough that have happened since February.

"We are pursuing a number of leads, utilizing every appropriate resource," the department said.

This borough isn't the only community in the state experiencing a streak in flashers and exhibitionists. In the Burlington County township of Evesham, police have recorded more than a dozen reports of such incidents since summer.

Borough police ask anyone with information to contact Det. Joseph Hynes at 732-892-0600.
