If like me you enjoy the songs of Billy Joel than pay attention.  If like me you try to support causes and events that help those in need then pay attention.  If like me a concert that brings both to the forefront sounds like something you might be interested in then really pay attention.

On Friday, June 8 the Hope Center will present a spectacular evening of music at the Grunin Center for the Arts at Ocean County College.  Nationally acclaimed vocalist Chris Pinnella along with his 8-piece band will perform the Billy Joel Songbook featuring many of the Piano Man’s biggest hits and much more.

Pinnella is likely best-known as one of the lead singers for the Trans-Siberian Orchestra and is a veteran of the stage and numerous Broadway National Tours.

This truly special evening is being presented by The HOPE Center, a non-profit organization located in Toms River whose mission is to serve individuals and families in crisis with dignity and compassion.  They provide basic human needs and do all they can to help people become self-sufficient.

Initiated by the Clergy Association of Greater Toms River they opened their doors ten years ago and have provided support, food and other resources and referrals to those who in some cases had nowhere else to turn.

The Hope Rises Concert will also honor HOPE Sheds Light, another Ocean County organization whose goal is to raise awareness and educate individuals, families and the community about the impact of addiction.  We can no longer ignore what has become a wide-spread problem with such devastating results for so many families and most of those involved in this organization unfortunately know from first-hand experience.

So here you have it.  A great night of music on June 8th featuring the Billy Joel Songbook starring Chris Pinnella with proceeds to benefit The HOPE Center.  For ticket information you can visit GruninCenter.org or call the box office at 732)-255-0500.
