Long-Standoff ends peacefully in Matawan Monday, police say

Little is known so far about a 10 and a half hour standoff in Matawan Monday but Monmouth County Prosecutors say the situation concluded "peacefully".

Further detail about the investigation has not yet been released.

Matawan Police on Monday night thanked responding law enforcement and ems agencies for bringing what they say was "a dangerous situation to a peaceful end".
