Born and raised in the New Orleans area, LLOYD PRICE scored his first big hit during rock and roll's infancy in 1952 with the original version of "Lawdy Miss Clawdy." Unfortunately, his recording career was put on hold after he was drafted. Incredibly, he was able to resurrect his career with a long string of hits in the late 1950s and early 1960s including "Stagger Lee," "I'm Gonna Get Married," "Misty," "Lady Luck," "Question," and "Personality" - the latter performed below. In this clip, he is introduced by Huey Lewis. Happy birthday, Lloyd - aka "Mr. Personality."
