Listen, I know what you're thinking, some wild things happen in Seaside Heights, but I find it to be fun for the family, too. Spring is here and summer is right around the corner, I'm ready for a Jersey Shore summer.

Yes, summer is when Seaside comes alive. That's why in the fall and spring, it's a great time for us that live close to Seaside Heights to enjoy the beauty of the ocean and all the fun that happens on the boards. Oh, and by the way, the rides are opening this weekend - March 27th and 28th, 2021.

THE BOARDWALK

I love the boardwalk. One of my favorite things to do is people-watch, Seaside's the perfect place. To stroll along the boards is truly a wonderful thing to do by myself or with my family. The smells are outstanding, the views are breathtaking, and the action happening all around will make you happy. There's just something special about the food on the boardwalk. Stop by Maruca's for a slice or grab a cheesesteak from Midway Steak House. And the fries, the best fries are in Seaside Heights. Wait a second,  I can not forget about Kohr's Frozen Custard. Does anything go down better on a hot summer night?

The Beach

Even if it's spring and not as warm as we might like it, walking along the beach is the best therapy for anyone going through tough times. There is something about the salt air, it just opens me up. Bundle up and take a walk on the beach, if you're daring, take off your shoes and socks and touch the ocean. The beach in Seaside Heights is fantastic, with soft sand, and just beautiful.

The Ferris Wheel

The Ferris Wheel is amazing. On a hot summer night, the light wind when you're high off the ground, I love it. The Ferris Wheel is 131 ft. high. If you've never taken a ride on this Ferris Wheel, do it this summer. You will love it. It is 6 credits to get on the ride and you can see every view of the island. It's truly spectacular.

The Sky Ride

This is the coolest thing, by far, in Seaside Heights. I've never seen anything like it. It takes you for a ride right over the beach and the view is amazing. This ride is separate from the other rides, you have to pay cash, there are no credits for the sky ride. Here's another ride you must try this year if you haven't.

The Arcades

There are several on the Seaside Heights Boardwalk. Coin Castle is pretty cool. Casino Pier is always fun. My daughter and step-son always loved the skee ball at Casino Pier. The Seaside Heights boardwalk arcades let you walk away from "huge" prizes like TVs and the smaller fun stuff, too. Lucky Leo's is another arcade, I love this one. They have the Wizard of Oz games, shhhhh...I'm addicted. Walking along the Seaside boardwalk, you'll probably walk into a couple more arcades and if your kids are around you, you'll walk out with empty pockets. Arcades are always fun.

Have fun and let's have the "BEST" spring and summer this year.
