LEH driver charged in connection with post-concert crash near AC
The driver of a minivan accused of triggering the three-vehicle crash that tied up traffic leaving Sunday's Maroon 5 concert in Atlantic City faces a charge of driving while intoxicated and related counts.
Corey Thacker, 27, of Little Egg Harbor, is also charged with refusing to take a breath test, reckless driving and disregard of a traffic signal, according to the Associated Press.
Police in Absecon told AP that five people were hurt when Thacker's vehicle apparently ran a red light on Absecon Boulevard, hit a car and rebounded into a sport utility vehicle before bursting into flames.
Attendance estimates for the beachfront performance exceed 50,000.
