Lakewood Condo Fire Leaves Several Families Without Homes [VIDEO]

An early morning fire tears through a Lakewood condo complex, destroying one unit and damaging three others.

It happened in the Coventry Square development a little after 1 a.m. as thick, black plumes of smokes rose into the air according to the Lakewood Scoop.

One neighbor told Lakewood Scoop the homeowners from next door had just arrived home from a Chasunah when her kitchen began filing with smoke. She immediately grabbed her children and escaped from the home.

The fire was brought under control within a half-hour. No one was injured but several families are now homeless.

The Fire Marshal’s Office and CIU are investigating the cause of the fire.
