Barry Walker, 37, of Willingboro, was indicted by an Ocean County grand jury in Toms River, according to information from the County Prosecutor's office given to North Jersey Advance Media.

Walker reportedly faces nearly three dozen charges tied to 16 break-ins, which allegedly netted him valuables and cash totalling more than $2,000,000.

The looting spree began at former Police Chief Rob Lawson's house in June 2015, where it's believed Walker took jewelry, several laptop computers, and Lawson's off-duty hand gun.

He was arrested in early July in Asbury Park, and apprehended again in November after being seen by a member of Lakewood's Civilian Patrol investigating an activated alarm.

No information was available regarding Walker's legal representation.

Charges are accusations. Defendants are presumed innocent unless, and until, found guilty in a court of law.
