Kelly Ripa’s new co-host, Springsteen’s taxman cometh – The NJ Breakroom
Ahead of her New Jersey Hall of Fame induction, Kelly Ripa has landed a new co-host. Lots of us are bummed it's not our own Dena Blizzard, after a fabulous audition run. But the choice of the seemingly everywhere Ryan Seacrest was met with a quick round of sarcasm on Twitter:
Kelly Ripa will officially join the NJ Hall of Fame this weekend in Asbury Park, in a class that includes Ray Liotta, Carli Lloyd, Connie Chung and a dozen others.
Bruce Springsteen says the taxman caught up with him and the E Street Band as they hit it big. In an on-stage chat with Tom Hanks at Tribeca Film Fest, Springsteen said as a young 20-something, he didn't know "anyone in New Jersey" who paid taxes. Bruce wrapped the story with "I pay 'em now!" The duo also paid tribute to late director Jonathan Demme. Both won Oscars for their work on his film, Philadelphia.
Proud Jersey Girl Erin Vogt’s first reporting gig involved her Fisher Price tape recorder. As a wife and momma of two kiddies, she firmly believes that life’s too short to drink bad coffee. A fan of the beach, Dave Grohl and karma, in no particular order.
