Lobster, crab, clams, flounder, shrimp, salmon, scallops, cod, tuna, etc., all sound delicious, and of course, finding great places to go and enjoy dinner is a great help. There are many fabulous seafood restaurants here in Ocean County, but here are three I recommend for you to try.

Ocean County:

Captain's Inn in Forked River: I have been to the Captain's Inn numerous times and always enjoyed a delicious meal. During summer, their Tiki Bar is a must-visit.

The Old Causeway in Manahawkin: In Southern Ocean County, you can stay on the mainland and enjoy a delicious seafood dinner. This restaurant is known for its innovative menu, including seafood.

The Shrimp Box in Point Pleasant Beach: Known for its outstanding service and waterfront views, the article referred to the Shrimp Box as "a Shore staple".

Alan's Clam Bar in New Gretna: At Allen’s Clam Bar, they believe in treating every guest like family, and it’s been that way since the beginning. Their story began in the 1940s, when Cliff Allen, grandfather of current owner Winfield Allen Jr., opened a humble roadside seafood stand in the heart of New Gretna.

Mud City Crab House: Fantastic seafood right in Southern Ocean County in Manahawkin, next to Long Beach Island.

So there you go, the best seafood restaurants in Ocean County. Give us your recommendations and reviews. We always love hearing from you about your favorite restaurants here in Ocean County. Happy Summer! Enjoy some great seafood here at the Jersey Shore.

LOOK: Best Beers From Every State

To find the best beer in each state and Washington D.C., Stacker analyzed January 2020 data from BeerAdvocate, a website that gathers user scores for beer in real-time. BeerAdvocate makes its determinations by compiling consumer ratings for all 50 states and Washington D.C. and applying a weighted rank to each. The weighted rank pulls the beer toward the list's average based on the number of ratings it has and aims to allow lesser-known beers to increase in rank. Only beers with at least 10 rankings to be considered; we took it a step further to only include beers with at least 100 user rankings in our gallery. Keep reading to find out what the best beer is in each of the 50 states and Washington D.C.
