I love that Jon Stewart is a Jersey Shore fixture. It makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside. He is always aligning himself with ways to help others and this is no exception.  Jon Stewart will guest host a gala for a Lunch Break, at the Count Basie Center for the Arts on Oct. 15th to help feed Monmouth County and beyond.

Listen to Shannon Holly mornings on 94.3 The Point and download our free 94.3 The Point app.

The proceeds will benefit Lunch Break's mission of providing food security and other resources to those struggling financially right here in Monmouth County.  The "We Rise Together: Restoring and Rebuilding Lives" gala sounds like a lot of fun! Lunch Break  provides food, clothing and life skills to those in need.  I couldn't think of a better emcee for the events that evening!

If you want to plan on attending this fabulous event, it will take place on October 15th  from 6:30 to 11 p.m. and you'll enjoy dinner, dancing, entertainment, raffles and an auction of premium items.  Tickets are $400 dollars per person and the proceeds go to the wonderful work of Lunch Break.

All guests must provide proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test 72 hours prior to the event.

You can buy your tickets here.  Read more from the original story here. We love you Jon Stewart! By the way Jon is coming back to TV September 30th...his new show is on Apple TV +  and it's called The Problem with Jon Stewart.  Here is the hysterical announcement for that:
