Now that Christmas is over and winter is here, it's time to keep an eye on flu activity here in the Garden State.

Unfortunately, the CDC's latest information for the Garden State is not good news. New Jersey, like the majority of states in the nation has "widespread" flu activity for the week ending December 21, 2019.

If you are looking for some good news regarding the flu, there is some for Monmouth and Ocean Counties. While most of the state is dealing with an Influenza Activity Level that is considered "high", both Monmouth and Ocean Counties are reporting "moderate" activity.

Fourteen of the 21 counties in the state are reporting "high" Influenza Activity Levels, according to the New Jersey Department of Health. And the latest data from the CDC says New Jersey is among 40 states with "widespread" flu  activity.
