A Garden State man is headed to prison for asking juveniles for sexually explicit pictures and videos online.

On Wednesday, 25-year-old Erick Solis of Weehawken, a former real estate agent, was sentenced to 70 months, or almost six years, in prison after pleading guilty to one count of solicitation of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography.

Federal authorities say from July 2020 to February 2021, Solis used a social media app to engage victims in sexually explicit conversations.

In those environments, he asked two 15-year-old girls to take sexually explicit pictures and videos of themselves and send them to him.

On at least one occasion at the end of 2020, one of the girls complied with his request, per a criminal complaint.

In addition to the prison term, Solis was also sentenced to five years of supervised release.
