Several Wawas have closed in Philadelphia lately

These two stores will mark the 8th and 9th Wawas to close in Philadelphia over the past several years.

Wawa at 21st and Hamilton, not too far from the Art Museum, closed in the middle of last year.

Also last summer, a 45-year-old store in Port Richmond shut down after an "extensive evaluation."

In 2022, two stores closed along Market Street and 12th and 19th because of "continued safety and security challenges and business factors."
