State troopers are asking for help from the public as they continue to investigate a fatal hit-and-run crash last month.

Based on an investigation, authorities say at around 9:30 Monday night, October 9th, a 2004-2006 black Acura TL with an unknown New Jersey license plate was traveling northbound on Eastern Parkway in Irvington in the area of the 143C entrance ramp.

A 16-year-old male pedestrian from Newark crossed the roadway and was struck by the Acura.

Based on a witness account and surveillance footage, after the vehicle hit the juvenile, the driver continued north on the Garden State Parkway.
