If you ever wanted to know what police officers have to put up with on any given weekend, here's a pretty colorful snapshot.

The Washington Township Police Department in Gloucester County posted on Facebook Monday morning a list of things its officers had to handle from Saturday, April 12th, through early Monday morning.

Their work covers everything from stolen candy to a guy huffing aerosol spray in his car and beyond.

Burglary/auto theft arrest – Fazzio’s
A man crawled under a fence and was located in the yard on surveillance cameras attempting to steal a vehicle. He was apprehended by Ofc. Franchi and K9 Vino in that vehicle. He was arrested and turned over to the county jail.

Unwanted person arrest – Regal Cinemas
A man stole candy from the concession stand and became disorderly when confronted. He refused to leave and was detained by officers. Due to a "change in mental status," he was transported to Inspira Hospital for care and released.

Unwanted person arrest – Burlington
Loss prevention reported a known shoplifter in the store. Officers located a vehicle matching one registered to a wanted person. A man was confirmed as the owner and taken into custody on a warrant out of Camden County. A search uncovered heroin and drug paraphernalia.

CDS arrest – Walmart parking lot
A man was found huffing/inhaling computer aerosol spray in his car and was taken into custody.

Additional arrests this weekend included the following:

  • Woman arrested on two outstanding warrants (Stratford & Washington Twp.)
  • Man arrested during a motor vehicle stop on warrants
  • Woman turned over by NJ State Police on a local warrant; posted bail and released
  • A resident turned himself in Monday morning on an eluding/wanted person warrant; processed and transferred to the county jail

The public is reminded that charges are accusations and all persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
