Millville’s Lotzeir Brooks Becomes First South Jersey WR With Over 4,000 Yards
Millville wide receiver Lotzeir Brooks has become the first player in South Jersey history to accumulate over 4,000 receiving yards in Friday's win over Delsea.
The Alabama commit entered the night with 191 career catches for 3,984 yards and 59 touchdowns.
He also scored his 60th career touchdown in the game, which extended his state record for touchdowns. He scored his 53rd touchdown in a win against Holy Spirit at the Battle at the Beach to break the state record, surpassing Westwood's Nolan Borgerson's record which stood for 11 years.
This season, Brooks entered the game with 24 catches for 629 yards and eight scores.
Brooks has had an amazing career and has been making highlight-level plays his entire career, including in a game against Mainland earlier this season, where he made a SportsCenter Top 10 catch.
He is also closing in on the state receiving yardage record of 4,212 also set by Borgerson. He has three games left plus the playoffs to surpass that record.
