Rooney's offers a tasty twist to their crabcakes by using a cornflake crust.  It comes with asparagus, potato, and red pepper aioli.

Mud City Crab House  1185 East Bay Ave, Manahawkin

Their jumbo lump crab cakes are outstanding.  Made with jumbo and lump crab meat, they are perfectly seasoned.

One note:  They do not take reservations, and it can be a long wait to get in.  They will not seat you until your whole party has arrived.

If you love fresh crabs, The Crab House is a great choice.  Locally caught Blue Claw crabs.  All you can eat.

You get an order of fries and corn in addition to the crabs.  Be advised that these are market-priced.

Ship Bottom Shellfish  1721 South Long Beach Blvd, Ship Bottom

I love clams, as well as crabs, and Ship Bottom Shellfish has an outstanding appetizer I love.  Garlic Clams with Jumbo Lump Crab Meat.

These are baked in garlic butter and topped with jumbo and lump crab meat.  This is outstanding for a nice summer snack as well.

The Lobster House  On Fisherman's Wharf, Cape May

You've got several selections to choose from.  I like to keep it simple.  Try the Sauteed Crabmeat.
