Years ago, I started doing this life hack, and it has saved me more than once: When I park in a parking garage or huge parking lot, I snap a photo of where I'm parked, that way I can find my car because, well, I forget.

As it turns out, there are many things you should be taking photos of and keeping those photos in your phone.

20 Photos to Keep on Your Phone

Here are some things you should take photos of and store on your phone. These are actually very good ideas. Some of these include information you wouldn't want others to get hold of, so make sure you have some security on your phone. You can also store the photos in an app, one that requires a password to access.

.1. Take a photo of your printer's refill cartridges. Make sure you can see the refill numbers.

2. A photo of your furnace air filter size. Makes standing in the aisle at the hardware store less intimidating.

3. Travel confirmations. All those airline schedules, hotel reservations, etc. Keep them together, especially if you're planning a big trip.

4. Front and back of your credit cards. If you lose them, it makes the process of reporting a lost card quick and easy. (Make sure to keep this photo secured somewhere in an app.)

5. Pictures of current medications. It can be helpful to fill out all that paperwork at the doctor's office or hospital.

6. Photo of your driver's license, passports, insurance cards, and your car's license plates.

7. The size of your car's tires. Makes it easy when you're shopping around for a quote.

8. Allergy and/or medical information for your family members. Again, all those forms need filling out at the doctor's office!

9. The back of your computers and TVs. In case wires get pulled out, you know where they go!

10. Your WiFi login and password. Easy to find. The one you leave on the fridge may disappear someday.

13. Family member blood types. Just in case.

14. AAA or roadside assistance card. Again, you expect it to be in your wallet, but....

16. Photos of passwords you can never remember.

17. Word or school badges or ID numbers.
