Attention, shoppers! Potential Listeria contamination found in celery from Walmart.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administrative issued this precautionary advisory of the possible contamination with Listeria monocytogenes.

What is Listeria monocytogenes from the US Food and Drug Administrative: "Listeria monocytogenes is an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Although healthy individuals may suffer only short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea, Listeria monocytogenes infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women."

All potentially affected products are past their expiration date and no longer for sale." ESPECIALLY for any saved in your freezer, throw them away.
