What comes to mind when you think of comfort food? Mac and Cheese? Chicken Pot Pie? Pizza? Fried Chicken? Burgers? Spaghetti and Meatballs? These all sound good to me and sound "comforting".

A recent Lovefood article said "America does food like nowhere else, and it's usually wonderfully comforting and cozy. From restaurants serving bowls of flavorsome shrimp and grits and oozy mac 'n' cheese to diners and fast-casual spots that make a mean meatloaf."

For Me, I enjoy comfort foods like meatloaf and mashed potatoes, pot roast, grilled cheese, pie, etc. I think everyone has their very own definition of "comfort food" and "to each their own". Enjoy what you like, recently Lovefood did a survey of the "best classic comfort food" in America. Each state's best classic comfort food restaurant was highlighted. We want to focus on the selection for us here in the Garden State.

Here in New Jersey, according to Lovefood, "Consistently named among the most loved in the country, Tops Diner is a New Jersey icon. Serving absolutely huge portions of all-American classics from the early hours to very late at night, the diner's food is simply faultless. Top menu picks include lobster mac 'n' cheese, French toast, buttermilk pancakes, and chicken and waffles for those brave enough to take on the huge plate."
