Jersey Shore Reality Star Makes Shocking Return to TV After 10 Years
Fans of the show were surprised by the news.
As residents of the Jersey Shore, we tend to have mixed feelings about the show with the same title. The controversial MTV show first premiered in late 2009 and followed Jenny "J-Woww" Farley, Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola, Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, Angelina Pivarnick, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, Pauly D, Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino, and Vinny Guadagnino on their crazy summer shenanigans in Seaside Heights.
The show came to an end in 2012 but was rebooted in 2018 as Jersey Shore: Family Vacation. Obviously, people change as time goes on. Most of the cast settled down and had families, and the show reflected that. All but one cast member returned for the reboot.
There was even supposed to be a Jersey Shore 2.0 show to be filmed in Atlantic City. The original cast was not happy about it. Luckily for them, the revival stopped production over the summer and hasn't resumed yet.
Sammi Sweetheart did not return for Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, but that's all changing. The reality star surprised fans on Instagram when she revealed she was filming for the show's sixth season. Her ex, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, recently left the show. Could that be part of the reason why the Hazlet native decided to return?
According to TMZ, the rest of the cast also had no idea about Sammi's return and were excited to see her come back. There's currently no air date for the second half of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, season 6.
