A 62-year old man from Ocean County died following a workplace incident that occurred at a facility in Hillsborough, Somerset County on Wednesday morning.

Hillsborough Police responded to a 911 call around 7:27 am to a site on Willow Road for a fatality involving heavy machinery.

There were no life saving measures that could be made when police got there due to the severity of the injuries, according to Somerset County Prosecutor John McDonald.

The name of the man who passed away and other details have not yet been released pending notification of his family.

An investigation into what happened and how the man died is ongoing and there will be a postmortem exam performed as well.
